Tactile and Safety System Installations for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Our products are installed in more than 100 countries across the European Union, beyond, and in Canada – at railway stations, in museums, at universities, in courthouses, shopping centres and public administration buildings. Since 2008 we have manufactured tactile indicators, stair nosings and anti-slip solutions at our own facility in Slovakia, and many of our earliest installations remain in full service today.

Below you'll find an overview of our key projects. You can filter by project type or country, or explore our hero case studies for in-depth project breakdowns.

Planning a Tactile System or Accessibility Retrofit?

Whether for a new build, renovation or accessibility retrofit for blind and visually impaired users, we deliver solutions that match your specifications and budget.

Justizzentrum Eisenstadt The installation of the floor guiding system for the blind in the Justice Center Eisenstadt was carried out in 2013. Self-adhesive guiding strips made of polyurethane TPU/P1 were used for the installation. The guiding system is arranged according to ISOTI rules - International System Of Tactile Indicators. The varying number and arrangement of the strips in the guiding line defines the function of the guiding line or informs about the destination of the guiding path. The basic circuit consists of a 3-line, the path to the lift is a 4-line, the path to the stairs is a 5-line, the warning field in front of the stairs at the top is a transversely oriented 7-line, etc.

Drilling installation of brass elements in the State Theater Darmstadt This installation took place in 2017. Brass guiding strips MS/P2-K/25/140/3.5 and brass warning studs MS/K1-K/25/3,5 were used for the installation of the tactile floor guiding system for the blind. Guiding strips and warning studs with pins were used - drilling installation. The floor indicators are arranged in accordance with the German standard DIN 32984 - Ground surface indicators in public areas. The edges of stairs were marked with MS/K1-K/25/1.5 warning studs. The tactile guiding system won the Federal Republic of Hesse Award for universal design.

Drilling installation of the guiding system in the Uppsala shopping center, Sweden. The tactile floor guiding system for the blind in the Uppsala shopping center was installed in 2020. Brass guiding strips MS/P1/35/280/3.5 and brass warning studs MS/K1/35/3.5 were used to mount the guiding line and warning fields. Guiding strips and warning studs with pins were used - drilling installation. Self-adhesive step marking discs MS/K1/50/1.5, were sticked with 3M VHB 5925 adhesive tape.

Assembly in the Slovenian National Museum in Ljubljana The floor guiding system for the blind in the Slovenian National Museum in Ljubljana was installed in 2015. Self-adhesive guiding strips made of polyurethane TPU/P1/35/500/3 and warning studs TPU/KH/25/3.3 were used for the tactile floor guiding system for the blind. The elements are self-adhesive, equipped with Gerband 941.

Self-adhesive installation at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Winnipeg The installation at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg took place in 2017. White polyurethane self-adhesive guiding strips TPU/P1/35/500/3 and warning studs TPU/KH/25/3.3 were used to install the tactile floor guiding system for the blind. The elements were sticked with 3M VHB 5925 tape.

Installation of the polyurethane guiding system in Kasárne Kulturpark, Košice The installation of the floor guiding system for the blind consists of polyurethane guiding strips TPU/PH/35/295/5 and warning studs TPU/KH/25/5. Guiding strips and warning studs with pins were used - drilling installation. The purpose of the warning strip is to warn a visually impaired person before entering a dangerous area, unless the warning is provided otherwise. The signal strip indicates that an important place is nearby and leads the visually impaired to this place.

Drilling installation of guiding strips and warning studs made of brass The installation in the Parliament of the Republic of Lower Saxony took place in 2017.
